Matching books with songs

Finding a song that connects rly well to a book is the best feeling

This weeks thoughts:

So one of my absolute fav feelings is when I make a correlation between a book ๐Ÿ“š and a song ๐ŸŽถ. Whether I'm reading whilst listening to music and it just happens, or if the book is on my mind when I'm listening to a song, it's like an instant OMG moment.

Y it's so amazing:

I love it so much because the book is like the imagery and words but then the music is the feeling that ties it together (idk how to describe it but it's life changing). Anyway, when I make multiple correlations I make a playlist so now whevever I want to feel a specific feeling I felt when reading a book, I can because the music kinda like frames it for me. Veering off, u know that feeling when u finish a book and it's sad because ur never gonna feel those first time reading feelings again? Well I now found a loop hole ๐Ÿ˜ˆ.

Some song and book correlations I've made:

Preface there's a lot of Taylor Swift, I think it's just because of how good her storytelling is.

  • The Selection series - Miss Americana and The Heartbreak Prince (TS), Enchanted (TS), Skinny Love (birdy), Long Live (TS) and basically most of speak now that gives fairy-tale vibes.

  • The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue - Everything Has Changed (TS), invisible string (TS), Young and Beautiful (Lana del Rey), K. (Cigarettes After Sex), A Thousand Years (Christina Perri)

  • The Hunger Games series - Afraid (The Neighbourhood), Castle (Halsey), human (Christina Perri), (these next ones r in the movie soundtrack so I'm kinda cheating) Eyes Open + Safe & Sound (TS), Everybody Wants to Rule The World (Lorde)

Side note of my life:

  • I got a dirty clothes washing basket ๐Ÿ˜ (pat on the back for me)

  • I dyed a bit of my hair pinkkk ๐Ÿคช

  • I decided to loose my Duolingo streak ๐Ÿ˜ข

  • I am already behind on my holiday work schedule ๐Ÿ˜ž

Hope you have an insightful week
